Franz Schubert's popular Serenade D.957 is alternatively known by its German name Ständchen, and was originally written for voice and piano as the fourth song in the cycle Schwanengesang. Its heartful melody has led to it subsequently being arranged for many solo instruments with piano accompaniment. The piano track presented here is in D minor.
