Jules Mouquet


Jules Mouquet (1867-1946) was a French composer, who studied at the Conservatoire de Paris.

While not many of his works are still played today, his cantata Mélusine was successful and won the Prix de Rome in 1896.

Mouquet’s best known work is La Flûte de Pan, a three movement flute sonata composed in 1906, and piano accompaniment tracks for that work can be found on this website. A link for the work is below.
