Oskar Böhme


Oskar Böhme (1870-1938) was a German trumpeter and composer.

He studied trumpet and composition in Leipzig before moving to Russia in 1897. Here he played cornet at the Mariinsky Theatre and taught elsewhere in St. Petersburg. Of his 40+ compositions, his Trumpet Concerto is perhaps the best known, written in an attractive Romantic style.
