Saverio Mercadante
Saverio Mercadante (c.1795-1870) was an Italian composer, who was known primarily for writing operas.
He was a contemporary of Rossini and Donizetti, and while he hasnt achieved the same posthumous recognition he did make his own stylistic contributions to 19th century Italian opera.
