Julius Klengel
Julius Klengel (1859-1933) was a German cellist and composer.
He toured Europe extensively as a solo cellist and wrote hundreds of works and studies for the instrument. To celebrating his fifty years as principal cellist at the famous Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, Wilhelm Furtwängler conducted a jubilee concert for which Klengel wrote a double concerto.
