Georg Goltermann
Georg Goltermann (1824-1898) was a German cellist, composer and conductor.
He briefly toured Europe as a cellist, before eventually becoming principal music director (Kapellmeister) at Frankfurts Stadttheater in 1874. He composed eight cello concertos, and most famous of these is the fourth which is often used as a teaching work.
