Piano accompaniment backing tracks
Tchaikovsky composed his Three Pieces Op.42 in 1878. It is often known as Souvenir d'un lieu cher, which translates to "Memory of a dear place". The Meditation was initially intended to be the slow movement of his Violin Concerto, but he later decided to place it as the most substantial piece in this set instead. The Scherzo is a short but furious work in C minor, with a more relaxed middle section. The Melody is the most well known of the three pieces, and often played as a standalone work.
