Flight of the Bumble Bee is just a short orchestral interlude in Rimsky-Korsakov's opera The Tale of Tsar Saltan, but the 90-second piece has taken on a life of its own, mostly as a showpiece demonstration of virtuosity. It consists of a perpetual string of semiquavers, often played at breakneck speed! This version is for flute and piano in A minor.
