Mozart composed the short but perfectly-formed motet Ave Verum Corpus in 1791 at the request of a local organist and choirmaster. The melody is perfectly suited for solo instrument with piano accompaniment as presented here. There are 2 transcriptions of Ave Verum Corpus included, one in D major which was arranged by Hjalmar von Dameck, and another shorter version in G major.
