Reinhold Glière's Opus 35 consists of a set of 11 pieces for various solo instruments and piano. The pieces featured here include the final two works of the set, a beautiful Nocturne and charming Intermezzo, both of which Glière wrote specifically for horn and piano. It also includes the Romance and Valse Triste which were originally composed for clarinet and piano, however they have become better known through these adaptations for horn and piano, and the four pieces are thus often published together as a fantastic addition to the horn repertoire.
