Brahms' two clarinet sonatas, Op.120 were among the very last pieces he wrote, and both demonstrate his mature mastery of chamber writing. Brahms also transcribed the solo parts for viola as well, while the piano parts stay the same. The first sonata is in F minor and lasts for around 24 minutes in performance.
