The Double Violin Concerto is one of JS Bach's most celebrated works, written sometime between 1717 and 1723. In the first movement, the two violinists work as a team in replying to the orchestral tuttis. The famous second movement is tender and expressive, and the concerto ends with an angry Allegro movement.
